Owls student-athletes Kobe Parker, Maddie Pond, Aiden Winslow, Jace Falcone, and Eliza Lee were all recognized as members of the 2025 winter sportsmanship team.

After the conclusion of the winter sports season, Westfield State University Athletics continues to hold the top spot in the 2024-25 Howard C. Smith Cup standings, awarded annually to the institution with the best overall athletics program in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Westfield State men’s ice hockey will open the 2025 MASCAC Tournament on the road as the Owls visit Anna Maria College on Thursday for a 5:40 P.M. puck drop at Horgan Ice Rink in Auburn, Mass.

The Owls men’s ice hockey team face-off in a MASCAC matchup for the second time this year against the Rivier University Raiders on Thursday, February 13 at 7:35 pm at Amelia Park Arena.

Dante Moretti and Cameron Patton each scored a goal and added an assist, and Brandon Shantz made 23 saves in goal to post a 3-0 win over Westfield State in a MASCAC men’s ice hockey game at Amelia Park Arena on Thursday evening.
