After the conclusion of the winter sports season, Westfield State University Athletics continues to hold the top spot in the 2024-25 Howard C. Smith Cup standings, awarded annually to the institution with the best overall athletics program in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Westfield State women's soccer will host a free ID clinic for players 14-17 on April 6 from 3-5 pm. Limited to 16 Field players and 3 Goalkeepers. No cost to attend.

Westfield State University Athletics recognized over 300 student-athletes with the celebration of the annual Director of Athletics 3.0 ceremony held on Wednesday night during halftime of the Owls men’s basketball game.

Owls student-athletes’ Jarrod Ledvina, Shea Hamel, Molly Finnegan, Dylan Clark, Tom Onorato, Katie Slattery, Ben Dawe, and Emma Nihill were all named to the 2024 MASCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team.

“It’s amazing,” said Parker of her selection to the elite squad. “Going in to college I never would have expected it, but it shows how hard work pays off.”

Westfield State women’s soccer players Delaney Parker, Jaida Cochran, Kiana Muratsuka, Emily Ottomaniello, and Julia Robak were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Westfield State senior forward Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) and first-year defender Kylie Tomasetti (Northborough, Mass.) earned major conference awards to headline five Owls players that were named to the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.

The loss closes out the career of seven Westfield State seniors, including forward Delaney Parker, Westfield’s all-time leading scorer with 87 goals, 34 assists and 208 career points, and defender Jaida Cochran, a two-time MASCAC defensive player of the year.

Westfield State women's soccer will be meeting a familiar opponent in the 2024 MASCAC Tournament as the second-seeded Owls host third-seeded Worcester State in a MASCAC Semifinal match on Friday at 1:00pm from Alumni Field in Westfield, Mass.

The Owls got goals from Kiana Muratsuka (Mililani, Hawaii), Tia Tollis (East Longmeadow, Mass.), and Kiki McNary (Brattleboro, Vt.).

Bridgewater State junior forward Olivia Robarge (Pepperell, Mass.) scored her team-leading 11th goal of the season late in the second half to propel the Bears to a 2-1 win over Westfield State in a clash between the MASCAC’s top two teams from Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon.

Westfield State junior Livie Crooks scored the game’s opening goal, then Kiana Muratsuka scored the next two as the Owls defeated Plymouth State 4-1 in a non-conference match from Plymouth, N.H. on Wednesday afternoon.
