Awarded to top MASCAC institution for best collective sport performance over the course of the year.

Warsame posted a best mark of 13.65 meters

Warsame’s big day highlighted the Owls performances, which included Eliza Lee (Walpole, Mass.) adding all New England honors in the women’s triple jump with a top mark of 11.70 meters to place fourth.

Westfield State junior Eliza Lee (Walpole, Mass.) placed third in the women’s long jump at the new England Division 3 championships at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. on Friday afternoon.

Westfield State men’s track and field placed seven athletes on the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference team after competing at the MASCAC Championship meet this past Friday. Athletes that finished first in their respective individual or team event were awarded all-conference recognition.
Nathan Sylven captured a pair of events for the Owls, winning the 3000 steeplechase and the 5000 meters.

Theo Yetman (Franklin, Mass.) and John Ware (Wilmington, Mass. )headline the Owls’ top finishes Saturday at the Trinity Invitational Meet.

Senior John Nekitopoulos won the race of the day, holding off teammate Rowan Gottschall by 2/100ths of a second in a photo finish in the 800.

The Westfield State men's and women's track and field teams return home this weekend to host the annual Jerry Gravel Invitational on Sunday, April 13 at the Jerry Gravel Track and Alumni Field. Both track and field teams will celebrate their senior athletes prior to the meet at 9:00 A.M. followed by field events beginning at 10:00 A.M., then track events at 12:00 P.M.

The Owls’ John Nekitopoulos (West Springfield, Mass.) and Nathan Sylven (Wrentham, Mass.) each posted second-place finishes in their respective events.

Westfield State’s men’s track and field sprint contingent turned in strong showings at the Coast Guard Invitational.

Westfield will return to action next Saturday for the Coast Guard Academy Invitational in New London, Conn.

Owls student-athletes Kobe Parker, Maddie Pond, Aiden Winslow, Jace Falcone, and Eliza Lee were all recognized as members of the 2025 winter sportsmanship team.

The Westfield State men’s track and field team earned 13 points and one first place vote in the 2025 MASCAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

Westfield State sophomore Daniel Shea (Longmeadow, Mass.) claimed second in the long jump as the Owls men’s track and field team opened the 2025 outdoor regular season schedule at the Wesleyan Swanson Invitational from Middletown, Conn. on Saturday afternoon.
