Aiden Winslow Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. — Aiden Winslow of the Westfield State men's ice hockey team has earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors.

Aiden Winslow (Jacksonville, Fla./ Bold City Battalion USPHL) a freshman goalie, has stepped into a huge role for the Owls this season. This past week Winslow posted a strong week as this week he featured a 1.00 GAA, 74 saves and a .974 save percentage in two games. In the 1-0 setback against the reigning MASCAC champions, Plymouth State, Winslow did everything but stand on his head, as he saved 43 shots and kept the score clean through three periods and only gave up one goal in overtime.

Winslow has worked his way up to fourth in the conference with a 2.17 GAA, third in save percentage with .935, and seventh in saves with 203.

Winslow and the Owls will be back in action Thursday, December 12 on the road at Assumption College for a 7:20 p.m. puck drop at the Worcester Ice Center.
