
Westfield, Mass. — The Owls men's ice hockey team face-off in a MASCAC matchup for the second time this year against the Rivier University Raiders on Thursday, February 13 at 7:35 pm at Amelia Park Arena.
Westfield is 1-0 against Rivier this season with a 4-1 road win where four players scored two points - Julian Boisclair (Voorhees, Nj.), Christopher Miraldo (Montreal, Quebec), Brett Williams (Easton, Mass.), and Emile Tremblay (Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec).
The Owls come into this one 11-10 overall and sitting in fifth place in the conference standings at 7-7. The points and assists leader for Westfield is Emile Pichette (Saint-Eustache, Quebec). He has totaled 20 points and 13 assists, which is top ten in both categories in the MASCAC. Cooper Board (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) leads the team in goals with nine, which is tied for 12th in the conference. The man between the posts for the Owls is Aiden Winslow (Jacksonville, Fla.). Winslow leads the MASCAC in save percentage at .934, he is third in goals against average 2.43, and fourth in total saves with 497.
The Raiders are 5-15-1 on the year and are last in the league standings at 1-12-1 on the year. Their scoring efforts are led by Jake Laville (Toronto, Ontario) as he has netted eight goals on the year. The points leader for the Raiders is Nicolas Paolucci (Toronto, Ontario) who has 15 points. The assist leader for Rivier is Cormac Hayes (East Longmeadow, Mass.) with 11 assists. Senior LJ Newell has garnered the most time in net for Rivier, posting a 5-12-1 record with a 3.72 goals against and an .890 save percentage.
