WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior forward Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) and first-year defender Kylie Tomasetti (Northborough, Mass.) earned major conference awards to headline five Owls players that were named to the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.

Parker was named the MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year while Tomasetti received the MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors along with all-conference second team recognition. Senior defender Jaida Cochran (Middleboro, Mass.), and junior midfielders' Morgan Berthiaume (Webster, Mass.) and Kiana Muratsuka (Mililani, Hawaii) joined Parker on the all-conference first team.

Parker was named the MASCAC Offensive Player of the year for the third time in her career, once as a first-year athlete and now in consecutive seasons as a junior and senior. A four-time MASCAC All-Conference First Team selection, Parker led the conference with 21 goals and 48 points. The 21 goals scored were tied for 11th in all of Division III. She finishes her Owls career with remarkable career statistics as Parker shattered the career goals and points marks, totaling 87 career goals and 208 points. She was the first Westfield State athlete, male or female, to top the 200-career points mark, punctuating a sensational collegiate career.

In her first season with the Owls, Tomasetti earned the MASCAC Rookie of the Year after displaying immense versatility for Westfield. Serving as a rookie sweeper, Tomasetti was a key piece in holding opposing teams to a .121 shooting percentage and just 26 goals on the year. She also provided the Owls with four goals and four assists and was particularly dangerous on corner set pieces into the box. In Westfield's semifinal win against Worcester State, Tomasetti dished out two assists to help the Owls advance into the conference championship game.

Cochran was one of four defenders named to the all-conference first team. In her four seasons with the Owls, Cochran has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Year twice and is a four-time MASCAC All-Conference First Team defender. She has been the backbone of an Owls defense that won three straight MASCAC Championships from 2021-2023. Cochran has started in 81 games in her Owls career, finishing with 13 goals and ten assists.

Muratsuka was one of four midfielders to place on the all-conference first team, securing a spot on the all-conference team for the second time in as many seasons with the Owls. The junior midfielder has been a consistent scoring presence for the Owls as she led the MASCAC with 12 assists while also finishing in a tie for third place in the league with 11 goals. Muratsuka has started in 40 games for Westfield across two seasons, scoring 24 goals and distributing 23 assists for a total of 71 points.

Berthiaume also secured a spot as a midfielder on the all-conference first team and has gradually improved on her offensive game over the last three seasons for the Owls. This season, she set career high marks in goals, assists, and points with her nine assists ranking second on the team this year. Her eight goals were the third-most for the Owls as well. In 56 games played over the course of her career, Berthiaume is up to 45 points, tallying 16 goals and 13 assists. For Berthiaume, it is the first season she was selected to the all-conference first team after placing on the second team in 2023.

Westfield State women's soccer finished the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 11-5-4 and went 6-1 in the MASCAC, receiving the second overall seed in the conference tournament. The Owls defeated third-seeded Worcester State in the MASCAC Semifinals, 3-0, before falling to top-seeded Bridgewater State in the conference championship game, 3-2.
