CASTLETON, Vt. -- Westfield State's women's cross country turned in a strong showing with a fourth place team finish at the Keene State Invitational meet on Saturday.

 Westfield benefited from a tight grouping among their top seven runners. Tealei Chandonnet  led the Owls   in 15th place in a time of 18:52.    Shea Hamel was next in 20th in 30th in 19:09.   Julianne Kelly (32nd), Sophia Rebenciuc (40th) and Reese Stevens (58th)  rounded out the Owls scoring five.

Chandonnet broke 19 minutes in the 5k for the first time in her career as the Owls got PRs from 12 different runners.

 Williams dominated the team race with 19 points , with the Ephs' Kate Tuttle taking the overall title in 17:55.  Host Keene was second with 117 points, followed by Wellesley with 127 and the Owls with 141. 

 23 teams and 240 individual runners competed at the meet.
