Tealei Chandonnet (Dracut, Mass.) finished 60th overall with a time of 23:05.8 to lead Westfield State women’s cross country to a 14th-place team finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn.

After winning their fourth consecutive MASCAC Championship, Westfield State women’s cross country dominated the league’s 2024 All-Conference list as eight of the ten spots went to Owls’ athletes after this past Saturday’s MASCAC Championship meet from Doyle Conservation Center in Leominster, Mass.

Westfield placed eight runners in the meet’s top 10, finishing with 20 points, 42 points better than runner up Bridgewater State.

The Owls top unit went to the Conn College meet at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn., a meet that serves as a preview of the course for the NCAA Mideast Regional later this fall.

Tealei Chandonnet paced the Owls with a 61st place finish at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, a meet featuring 45 teams, and a total of 346 individual runners.

After a team victory at the Owls season-opening meet at Keene State, women’s cross country posted a strong fourth place showing at the Trinity College Invite on Saturday afternoon.

Shea Hamel topped the individual performance list with a first place finish to lead Westfield State women’s cross country to a team victory at the Keene State Alumni meet from Keene, N.H. on Saturday afternoon.
