Hamilton named to NABC Division III All-District Team
Owl's junior forward Hamilton was named to NABC Second Team All-District
Westfield State's Brendon Hamilton (Worcester, Massachusetts) was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as a top player in the district this past Tuesday. He was named to the 2022 NABC All-District Division III second-team player for district 1 .
Hamilton led the Owls in scoring with 15 ppg, while leading the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference in rebounds and blocks, averaging 14.6 rpg and 2.1 bpg. He finished this season second in the country for rebounds in all of NCAA Division III, and was also honored as the MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team.
Hamilton, only a junior, has set the single season rebounding record, with 393 rebounds, and finds himself already listed among other Westfield greats for career rebounds per game and blocks per game.
His dominance in the paint played an important role in the Owls' success this season, leading them to a second straight MASCAC championship where he displayed his rebounding talent , reeling in a career high of 26 rebounds in the contest, and winning tournament MVP.
