Harkins, Banagan highlight Day 1 of Little East Championships
Olivia Harkins showcased her skills in the 100-yard butterfly, securing a victory in the consolation final and finishing ninth overall by clocking in at 1:04.67.
On February 14, 2025, at the Boston Sports Institute, the Westfield State University women's swimming & diving team competed in the Little East Conference Championships, accumulating 75 points, securing the 8th place among 11 scoring teams through the first full day of competition.
Kara Banagan took home seventh place in the 1-meter diving to headline the Owls efforts on the first day of the swimming events. Banagan totaled 326.90 points.

Teammates Megan Baio and Molly Finnegan also made appearances in the same event, finishing 13th and 14th respectively.
Katie Colby earned a 14th place finish with a time of 6:05.21 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Owls picked up seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:48.16
Competition continues Saturday and Sunday at the Boston Sports Institute.
