Lee Shines at Wheaton Post-Season Qualifier

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State's Eliza Lee won a pair of events to lead the Owls at the Wheaton Post-Season Qualifier meet in Norton, Mass. on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Lee won the long jump with a leap of 5.25 meters and the triple jump with a winning mark of 11.48 meters, and also took second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.49 to round out a great day of competition.

Other top marks on the day for the Owls included Devin Whalen taking second place honors in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.70 seconds, with teammate Paola Quinnones Ramos fifth in 9.87
Julianne Kelly placed second in the 3000 meters in 11:03.90, where Shea Hamel fourth in 11:05.94 and Reese Stevens fifth.
Westfield's Molly Kennedy finished fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:28.79.
No team scores were recorded at the meet.
With preparations complete, the Owls will next compete at the New England Division 3 Championships next Friday and Saturday at the Track at New Balance in Boston.
