The Pride (6-5) were led by 26 points from Alex Goslin and 21 from Emily Jaques. The Pride shot a blistering 65.7 percent from the floor, and were 7-17 (42 percent) from three point range.
Two bad quarters were the Owls undoing. Westfield trailed 23-20 at the end of the first quarter, but Springfield outpaced the Owls 36-10 in the second quarter as Westfield went cold from the floor, shooting just 4-18 in the frame. The Owls trailed 73-54 after three quarters, but again went cold, scoring just eight points in the fourth quarter.
Westfield wraps up the fall semester with a 3-7 record.
The Owls will be idle for finals and the winter break before returning to action with another local game at Western New England on Thursday, January 2.
