Conveniently located just three miles from campus in downtown Westfield, Amelia Park Ice Arena is a 47,000 square foot facility that includes an NHL sized ice rink with seating for 600; a figure skating lounge; three party rooms; a skate rental and sharpening area; four locker rooms and a food concession area. A 65′ x 170′ outside inline skating rink is located next to the main building.

Westfield State added a dedicated locker room in the arena, thanks to alumni support.

Also the home to the Owls men's and women's club ice hockey teams, the Amelia Park Ice Arena is a sports complex and memorial garden, managed by a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation.  The rink and the beautiful 1.3 acre memorial garden next to the rink are named in honor of Amelia Ferst. This garden has become a favorite spot for people throughout the region to come and enjoy free concerts, community activities and weddings.  Constructiuon of the rink was  financed by the late philanthropist Albert F. Ferst. Throughout their lifetimes, the Fersts made it a priority to support family, community, and youth programs, and a variety of endeavors in Westfield and at Westfield State University.
