Westfield State defeated NVU-Johnson 3-0 in a planned tri-match at New England College in Henniker, N.H., on Saturday, but the Owls' second match of the day against the host Pilgrims was scuttled due to unplayable court conditions.
The Owls downed Johnson, 25-18, 28-26, 25-20.
Brianna Starkey led the Owls with nine kills, with Ashley Crowley and Hanna Simpkins each adding 6. Lizzie Taylor led the Owls with 19 digs, with Jess Haradon chipping in with 13. Ally Rega set 24 assists for the Owls.
The Owls will host their first MASCAC match of the season on Tuesday, hosting MCLA in a 6 p.m. start at the Woodward Center.
