Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Ma.) scored the 1,200th point in her college career to earn a spot on the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) second-team weekly honor roll.
This honor is awarded by NEWBA to Division III women's basketball student-athletes in New England for great performances on the court.
Hadla's dual performances earned her this honor through averaging 25.5 points a game last week's two games. Hadla scored 22 points while grabbing down five rebounds on the road in the setback to Emerson. Later in the week, Hadla helped the Owls soar past Emmanuel College 79-74 as she sported a 29-point statline with six rebounds, three steals and three assists. Hadla scored her 1,200th point in her college career to boost her to 11th on the Owls all-time scoring list and moves within one point of breaking the top ten.
Hadla is now fourth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference for points per game at 16.1 and is third in the conference in free throw percentage as she is connecting at 73.2 percent.
Hadla and the Owls are back in action on Saturday, December 14 at noon in the Woodward Center as they host non-conference opponent Lasell College.
