Forrest Leads Owls to 20th Place at NCAA Regional

Westfield State senior Tim Forrest (Westborough/Grafton, Mass.) placed 50st overall to lead Westfield State's men's cross country team to a  20th place finish at the NCAA Division III New England cross country regional held at Bowdoin College in Brunswick Maine on Saturday.

Forrest skipped over the 8,000 meter course in a time of 26:11.

Brandon Leclair (Wamogo/Goshen, Conn.) was next in for Westfield in 27:15, to take 112th place in the 391 runner field.  Senior Patrick Brett (Whitman Hanson/Hanson, Mass.)  finished 122nd in 27:21.

Amherst College won the title with 65 points, followed by Williams (86) and Middlebury (142).  Westfield was fifth among public colleges as a total of 58 teams scored at the meet, which completes the Owls' season.
