WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University track and field placed three athletes on the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's all-region teams, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Men's javelin thrower Shane Clark (Bellows Falls, Vt.), women's 100-meter hudler Vicky Marin (Greenfield, Mass.), and women's 10,000 meter runner Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) were named to the Division III Mideast team.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Clark, a senior who plans to return to use his final year of eligibility, finished the season ranked 30th on the NCAA Division III performance list with a best throw of 56.85 meters (186' 6").
Marin, a first-year student, had a season best time of 15.02 seconds in the 100 hurdles.
O'Sullivan graduated after a standout senior year that saw her place 22nd in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships.
