WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior forward Gianluca Marini (Lighthouse Point, Fla.) secured conference recognition this past week as he earned the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after a 1-1 week for the Owls.
Marini registered a four-point week, posting two goals and two assists across a pair of game for the Owls. He sparked Westfield to a 6-3 victory over Salem State on Thursday, tallying two third-period goals which included the goal-ahead score that broke a 3-3 tie.
