WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University senior Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) was the individual champion, as the Owls competed at the short-course Keene Alumni Invitational meet to start the 2021 cross-country season.
O'Sullivan hit the tape in 11:08 over the 2-mile course.
The Owls placed fourth in the eight-team meet. Smith, Springfield, and Division II Assumption completed the top three spots.
For Westfield Mia McDonald (Westfield, Mass.) was 19th in 12:17, Kayla Whitcomb (Hubbardston, Mass.) 26th in 12:23, Kerrin Johnson (Weymouth, Mass.) 31st in 12:33 and Grace Poplawski (Rowe, Mass.) 35th in 12:36 to complete the Owls scoring group.
The Owls will compete at the Trinity Invitational in Hartford, Conn. next Saturday.
