The Westfield State women placed fourth at the Massassoit Classic indoor track and field meet at Springfield College on Saturday, led by a winning effort from Brynne LeCours in the 800 meters.

Lecours ran 2:34.10 in hitting the wire first in the 800.

The Owls did most of their damage in the middle distance events.

Shea Hamel second in the mile in 5:32.97.  Teammate Molly Kennedy was just five seconds back in fourth place.  Julianne Kelly took  fourth in the 3000 meters in  11:36.17.  Ariann LeCours took fourth in the 1000, and Rayna Consiglio finished fourth in the 600

Westfield's Eliza Lee placed fourth in the triple jump (10.25m) and fourth place in the 400 meters in a time of 1:04.20.

Westfield will return to action next Saturday at the Wesleyan Invitational meet in Middletown, Conn.
