WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior distance runner Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) placed first in the 5,000 meter run at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational at Tufts University on Sunday afternoon. She raced at Tufts in place of the Wesleyan Invitational that was cancelled due to inclement weather on Saturday.

O'Sullivan crossed the finish line with a time of 17:51.93, easily out-pacing the next closest competitor by one minute and twenty-two seconds.

Westfield State will be back in action on Friday as the Owls will participate in the Coast Guard Invitational at Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut before preparing for the All-New England meet on Saturday, February 5^th.
