WESTFIELD, Mass. –  Westfield State seniors Kayla Whitcomb and Amy O'Sullivan each won events at the Utica Holiday Classic track meet on Saturday as the Owls placed ninth at the meet as a team.

Kayla Whitcomb won the 5000 meters in 19:36.55 with teammate Mia McDonald placing fourth in 19:54.40.

Amy O'Sullivan won the mile in a time of 5:27.57, while Molly Kennedy topped her heat in placing sixth overall in 6:04.41.

The Owls will break for finals and the semester break, before returning to action on January 8 at the Harvard Meet.
