Owls Women's Track Competes at Fitchburg

Owls women's track and field had three event winners as the women's track and field team competed at the Jim Sheehan Invitational meet at Fitchburg State on Saturday afternoon.

Amy O'Sullivan topped the 1500, Mia McDonald led the way in the 3000 steeple chase, and Mackenie Connor was tops in the pole vault.

Connor cleared nine feet in the pole vault, an even foot higher than her nearest competitor.

McDonald posted a time of 12:48.89 in winning the 3000 steeple.

O'Sullivan got the trip at 1500 meters in 4:57.12.

Carly Smith finished second in the triple jump at 9.54 meters, and Lina Lark was second in the long jump at 5.14 meters.

No team scoring was kept  the meet.  The Owls will be at home next weekend to contest the Jerry Gravel Classic meet.   Live video of the meet will be available at WestfieldStateOwls.com.
