Westfield Mass - Westfield State senior Lexi Popp (Westford Academy/Westfield, Mass.) was named to the MASCAC women's track and field weekly honor roll this week, while junior Lauren Gilderdale (Housatonic/Great Barrington, Mass.) captured her third field athlete of the week award.

Popp takes home the award after lowering her own school-record time in the 400 meters by .61 seconds, finishing with a time of 56.09 at Boston University on Sunday. That time was good for 10th overall at the last chance invitational, and moved Popp into third place on the NCAA Division III performance list, which is used to select the field for the NCAA Championship meet.

Gilderhale placed fourth overall in the shot put at the New England Division III Track and Field Championships, posting a 12.09m mark on her last attempt of the day. She also placed 11th overall in the women's weight throw.
