Westfield State senior Lexi Popp (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy) was named the MASCAC women's track Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Geico, after setting two school records in the 200 and 400 meter events at the Dave Hemery Invitational Meet at Boston University.

Popp ran a time of 25.76 in the 200 meters, breaking the school record previously set by Targie Gervais in 2011.

Popp also broke her own school record in the 400 meters, running a 56.70 and placing 26^th in the event. Popp was second among Division III competitors and ran the third fastest time of any Division III runner this season.

Westfield State track and field will travel to Plymouth State this Saturday, February 16^th, for the MASCAC championship meet.
