WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State junior Lauren Gilderdale won the shot put and the weight throw to lead the Westfield State women's track and field team's performances at the Massasoit Invitational meet at Springfield College on Saturday.
Gilderdale put the shot 12.47m (40'-11.00) in her winning effort and tossed the 20-lb. weight 15.80m (51'-10.00)
Kerri Long placed second in the long jump with a leap of 5.08m (16'-08.00") and second in the triple jump with a best of 10.26m ( (33'-08.00")
Mackenzie Connor finished third in the pole vault with a height of 2.75m (9'-00.25").
No team scoring was kept at the meet. Westfield's qualified athletes will next compete at the NEICAAA Championships next Friday and Saturday.
