WESTFIELD, Mass.--Westfield State freshmen Kelsey Chartier (East Longmeadow, Mass) was named the MASCAC women's track and field Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Chartier placed third in the long jump with a leap of 4.92m (16'-1.75") as the Owls finished third among 16 competing schools on Saturday at the Pioneer invitational indoor track and field meet at Smith College.

Next up for women's track and field is the Massasoit Classic on Saturday January 26^th at Springfield College.
