Swimming Falls at Mount Holyoke, 152-79

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State junior Alexa Richter (Westfield, Mass.) won two individual events as the Owls fell to Mount Holyoke College by a score of 152-79 on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Owls fall to 1-2 in dual meets this season with today's result.

Richter placed first in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events, posting times of 2:07.65 and 5:37.16 to supply the Owls with 18 points in those events.

Allyson Linkenhoker (Monson, Mass.) and Karoline Warzybok (Chicopee, Mass.) finished first and second in the 200-yard IM with Warzybok also posting a second-place mark in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:16.10. Linkenhoker nabbed second-place finishes in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard breaststroke.

The Owls 400-yard freestyle relay quartet of Richter, Molly Finnegan (Westport, Mass.), Katie Colby (Shrewsbury, Mass.), and Jackie Roccabruna (Pittsfield, Mass.) added 11 points with a finishing mark of 4:18.32.

Westfield State will return home for their next meet as the Owls host Smith College on Saturday from Ely Pool at 1:00 P.M.
