WESTFIELD, Mass. –   Sophomore Hannah McKenna placed second in both the 1 and 3 meter diving, and junior Kait Kelly had top five finishes in three different events to help lead Westfield State University's women's swim and dive team to a third place finish at the 2020 Little East Championships at UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday.

Kelly took fourth place in the 100 backstroke, fifth in the 50 freestyle and fifth in the 100 freestyle events.

She also swam the backstroke leg of the Owls' 200 medley relay team which placed third in a time of 1:59.51.

Other top placings for the Owls included Kelsey Johnstone's fourth place in the 100 breaststroke, and fifth in the 200 individual medley, Jenna Albrecht's fifth in the 200 butterfly, and Sarah Sartoris' fifth in the 100 backstroke.

Keene State won the team title with a score of 556, followed by UMass Dartmouth in second at 307, and Westfield State in third with 192 points.

Westfield will be idle next week while the team preps for the New England Intercollegiate Swim and Dive Association championships which will be contested Thurs., Feb 13 thru Sunday, Feb. 16 at the University of Rhode Island.
