Westfield State sophomore Kait Kelly (Hampden, Mass.) was named the Little east Conference Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season after winning three individual events to lead the Owls to a dual meet win over Plymouth State.

The sophomore was first to finish in the 50 backstroke (30.54), 50 freestyle (26.52) and 100 freestyle (1:01.60), and led off for the winning 200 medley relay (2:05.14).

Kelly and the Owls will be off for finals and the winter break, before returning to action with the Owls annual training trip to Florida after the holidays, returning home for a meet with the University of St. Joseph on Friday, January 18, 2019.
