Owls, Robak Shut Out Worcester State

WESTFIELD, Mass. -  Julia Robak made seven saves in goal to anchor the Westfield State defense as the Owls posted a 3-0 win over Worcester State in a MASCAC women's soccer match at Coughlin Field in Worcester on Saturday morning.

The Owls got goals from three different scorers, with Morgan Berthiaume getting it started in the eighth minute, and Kiana Maratsuka adding another marker with a rocket of a free kick midway through the first half.

Jaida Cochran tacked on a third goal for Westfield with an assist from Delaney Parker just 1:35 into the second half to help salt the game away early.

Westfield outshot the Lancers 23-10 and had a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

Mallory Dupuis stopped 11 shots in goal for the Lancers.  

Westfield State improves to 4-4 overall on the season and 2-0 in conference play, while Worcester State is now 0-5-1 and 0-2 in the league.
