The Knights found the equalizer just 1:56 into the second half off the foot of Madison Toyama (Mililani, Hawaii) with Angela Rosenberger (Williamstown, N.J.) receiving credit for the assist.

Westfield found the back of the net twice in a span of six minutes beginning with Parker who connected on her second of the night on a left-footed shot to the right side of the net after a long carry, giving the Owls a 2-1 advantage.

First-year Tia Tollis (East Longmeadow, Mass.) provided a crucial insurance goal at the 76th minute, controlling a loose ball off a corner kick and launching home her first collegiate goal to make it a 3-1 game.

Caroline Weirich (Pocono Pines, Penn.) scored a late tally for the Knights with just under five minutes to play in regulation, but the Owls managed to hold on to secure the victory.

Sophomore goalkeeper Julia Robak (Chicopee, Mass.) got her first start of the season in net after missing time due to an injury, making five saves in the winning effort. Jordan Polen (Lincolnshire, Ill.) and Abby Fuchs (Brick, N.J.) split time in net with each registering two saves.

The Knights outshot the Owls 22-17, but Westfield held a slight edge in shots on net (10-9).
