WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year Delaney Parker netted three goals and an assist to lead Westfield State women's soccer in a 6-1 romp over Bard (N.Y.) College  the Drew University Fall Classic Tournament in Madison, N.J. on Sunday.

Westfield is now 2-2-1 to start the season, with all five games on the road.  The Owls went 1-1 in the Drew Tournament this weekend.

Parker netted a hat trick for the second time in her young career.   She netted the Owls first two goals in a five minute span midway through the first half to stake the Owls to a 2-0 lead.

Parker registered an assist on Westfield's third goal of the day just 24 seconds into the second half, setting up Marissa Jacob for the score.

An own-goal from Bard gave Westfield a 4-0 lead, and Parker and Abby Glasheen added late goals for the Owls.

Bard's Claire Peet finally got Raptors on the board in the 85th minute for the 6-1 final.

Westfield outshot Bard 27-4 on the day.  Sarah Fuller and Nicole Pepe split the game in goal for the Owls.

Westfield State will play one more road contest, on Wednesday evening at Keene State, before Westfield opens conference play at home on Saturday, Sept. 18 against Framingham State.
