WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State women's soccer swept the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly awards, as sponsored by Geico, this week, with junior midfielder Lydia Kinsman (Granville, Mass./Southwick HS) and freshman goalkeeper Lauryn Davis (Templeton, Mass./Quabbin) named the player and rookie of the week.

Kinsman picks up the player of the week award for the second straight week and the third time this season.   She tallied both of the Owls goals, including the game-winner in overtime in a 2-1 OT win at Worcester State on Saturday, which propelled the Owls into a first-place tie in the conference.   Kinsman added a goal earlier in the week in a 2-0 win at UMass Dartmouth.

For the season, Kinsman leads the Owls with 11 goals and five assists for 27 points.

Davis posted a 0.48 goals against average and a .900 save percentage in the Owls 2-0 week.  She registered her fourth solo shutout of the season with five saves in the 2-0 win over UMass-Dartmouth, and made four saves in the overtime win at Worcester State.

On the year, Davis has a 9-2-1 record between the pipes, a 1.21 GAA and a .797 save percentage.

Westfield State is 10-5-1 overall and 5-1 in the MASCAC.  The Owls have one regular season game remaining, as they will host Mass Maritime Academy on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a noon kickoff.
