Harvey Scores Five Times As Owls Fly Past Keene, 20-7

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Cassidy Harvey (Niskayuna, N.Y.) scored five goals to lead a half dozen Owls with multiple goals as Westfield State rolled to a 20-7 win over Keene State in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Tuesday afternoon in Keene, N.H.

Westfield improves to 2-0 on the season, while Keene dips to 0-3.

Westfield ran out to a 6-3 lead after the first quarter, then tallied five more in the second to lead 11-3 at the half.

Harvey netted the first three goals of the second period as Westfield put the lead out of reach.  With the five goals today she goes over the 100 point mark for her career.

Natalie DeMaio (Westwood, Mass.) added four goals, and the Owls got two each from Lindsey Bohenko (Lowell, Mass./Central Catholic), Emma Prattson (Tolland, Conn.), Kiely Hafensteiner (Niskayuna, N.Y.) and Nicole Rinkus (Pembroke, Mass.). Prattson added a career high five assists.

Westfield's Sydney Smith (Dalton, Mass./Wahconah) made four saves in goal.   Westfield outshot Keene State 35-18, and won 19 draws to Keene's 11.

The Owls will depart for sunnier climes this weekend, traveling to Panama Beach, Fla. for a pair of games, facing Marymount (Va.) on Tuesday, and pre-season #23 SUNY-Geneseo on Thursday.
