WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's junior attacker Alexa Tonelli (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's lacrosse player of the week on Monday.

Tonelli netted three goals and four assists with five ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Owls during the NCAA Division III women's lacrosse tournament.

The junior attacker tallied three goals and three assists in the 17-12 first round victory over Morrisville State on Saturday, and added an assist with three ground balls in the second round setback to defending National Champion Gettysburg College Sunday.

In 21 games played this season, Tonelli totaled 41 goals, five assists, and 48 points with 39 ground balls.

The Owls ended their season with an 18-3 overall record, having set a school-record for wins in a season.
