WESTFIELD, Mass. -  Kaitlyn Egan shot the low round for Westfield State both days as the Owls competed at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Invitational and Classic Tournaments this weekend at Tekoa Country Club.

Saturday's event was moved to Tekoa with an afternoon tee time after Friday and Saturday morning's rains left Shaker Farms unplayable.   Sunday was played as planned as part of the league's two, single-day, 18-hole tournaments.

Egan shot 103 on Sunday after fashioning a 101 on Saturday.   Kerry Greenough finished with a 107 Saturday and a 104 on Sunday.

Owls senior Jenna Hurlburt jumped into the golf lineup for Sunday's event, a day after helping the women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over MCLA at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon.

Westfield finished eighth in Saturday's event.  Sunday's team scoring is still pending.

Westfield will next play in the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships on Oct. 14 and 15 in Brewster, Mass.
