WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State women's golf teed off on the 2022-23 season with a dual match against Suffolk University at Shaker Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

The Rams emerged with a 341-464 victory over the Owls.

Jordan Eddy led Westfield State with a 99 while making five pars on the round, with Kerry Greenough just behind her at 103 on the 5900 yard, par 72 course.

Suffolk's Isabel Smith led all scorers with a 7-over par 79.    Suffolk's Ellie Yarborough had the shot of the day on the 18th, slicing a tee shot around the dogleg right par 4, with the tee shot settling four feet below the hole before she rolled the putt in for an eagle.

Westfield State will next host Keene State in a dual match at Tekoa CC in Westfield on Sept. 24
