Men's Golf Places Fourth At Rose City

Westfield State's Kyle DelSignore shot 79 both days to lead the way for Westfield State at the Rose City Invitational hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University at the Norwich (Conn.) Country Club on Sunday and Monday.

DelSignore was consistent over the 6,228 yard, par 71 layout to finish eighth in the individual standings.

Westfield State placed fourth at the seven team meet, with a two-day score of 652, three strokes back of Albertus Magnus in third.   Eastern won the match with a two-day score of 604 after shooting a sharp 294 on the opening day.

Brandon Smith finished in a 3-way tie for eighth alongsiide DelSignore. He shot 76 on the opening day to be prominent in the individual scoring, but backed up slightly down the stretch with an 82 on Monday.

Mike Waldman finished 83-80-163, and Ethan Cadorette shot 90-83-173 to round out the Owls scorig golfers.

Westfield State will be back in action on Wednesday, hosting their annual Brett Williamson Invitational at Tekoa Country Club at 10:00 a.m.
