Men's Golf Opens Spring Season in Rhode Island

Ryan Koczela shot the low score of the weekend for the Westfield State men's golf team, as the Owls finished 10th at the 14 team Rhode Island College Invitational at the Alpine Country Club in Warwick, R.I. on Friday and Saturday.

Koczela shot 82-76-158 to finish in a tie for 12th in the individual scoring.

Senior Nick Eliopoulos was the Owls low man on Friday, shooting 79-85-164 to finish 31st.

Johnson and Wales University won the Invitational with a two day score of 627, while RIC's Mchael Coparco was the medalist, finishing 77-71-148.  Westfield finished with a team total of 662.

The Owls will return to Rhode Island next weekend to compete at the Johnson and Wales Invitational at Cranston Country Club.
