WESTFIELD MASS-  Westfield State freshman forward Brendon Hamilton (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Tech) earned this past week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, sponsored by Geico, after his performance in the Owls' 98-69 win over Salem State.

Hamilton finished the game with 10 points and 13 rebounds, as well as with two blocks and a steal. He has an overall average of 6.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game for the season.

It is the second straight week Hamilton has earned the league's rookie of the week award.

Westfield is now 12-6 overall, and 4-1 in the MASCAC. The Owls will play away against MCLA on Wednesday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m.
