Sam Farnsworth is in his second season as an assistant coach for Westfield State, working with the Owls hitters. He played college baseball at Holyoke Community College and at Elms College under Coach Bashaw.

Farnsworth previously served as head JV baseball coach and varsity assistant at St. Mary’s high school in Westfield. The 2017 St. Mary’s baseball team won the Massachusetts division 4 state championship.

Farnsworth got his Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Elms College. He is employed full-time as an investigator for Elite Detective Services since October 2015. Before that, he also worked as an intern for the Chicopee Probation Department.
