Westfield State athletics continued its year long focus on Alzheimer's Awareness with recent events.

Owls' associate athletic director Nancy Bals recently met with Bianca Walker from the Alzheimer's Association to submit gifts that pushed Westfield State athletics fundraising total to over $5,000 for the year.

Westfield State student athletes and staff particpated in the Alzheimer's Walk in Holyoke in the fall, and awarenss events at recent hockey and women's basketball games, as well as a "Casual for a Cause" day in the athletics and movement science departments added additonal support to the cause.

Look for continued awareness events in the spring, and come out to the games wearing purple to show your support.  If you'd like to make a gift to help fight Alzheimer's Disease, click here.
