America selection in women’s track and field at Westfield State University, placing second in the nation in both the long jump and the triple jump. She holds Owls’ records in the 400-meter dash (58.17), long jump (19’-6-1/4"), and triple jump (40’-3-1/4’).

In two years at Westfield, she was a 13-time MASCAC champion in a multitude of events. As a senior, Donoghue won seven of 21 events at the MASCAC Championship meet to lead the Owls to their eighth straight team title.

In 2005, Donoghue was named the Honda NCAA Division III Track and Field Athlete of the year – the only Westfield State athlete to have been bestowed such a prestigious national award.

Donoghue transferred to Westfield from Wheaton College, where she was an 8-time All-American and a national champion in the long jump as a freshman, as well as a member of three NCAA Champion 4x400 squads at Wheaton.

In addition to three ECAC long and triple jump titles, Donoghue won three New England Division III long jump championships. She was an 11-time All-New England and a six-time All-ECAC honoree.

She is a native of Springfield, Mass., and graduated from Cathedral High School. In 2005, Westfield State nominated Donoghue for NCAA woman of the year.

After graduating from Westfield State, she worked as an assistant coach at Manchester University in Indiana and at Connecticut College.

Donoghue is currently a teacher at the Adult Career Pathways Program at Valley Opportunity Council in Chicopee and resides in Chicopee, Mass., with her husband Alex and son Teddy.
