Tim Peters was a record-setting football player at Westfield State in the early 1990s. 

The speedy wide receiver was a three-time New England Football Conference (NEFC) all-conference selection, and a second team Football Gazette All American during his sophomore year in 1991 when he set a school record of 1,116 receiving yards that still stands today. The big-play pass catcher had seven touchdown passes of 50 or more yards during his standout sophomore season. 

The 1994 Westfield State graduate held 10 school records following his outstanding four-year football career, including most pass receptions in a game (10), season (53) and career (161); most receiving yards in a game (197) and career (2,782); and most touchdowns (22) and career points scored (132). 

The Greenfield, Mass., native was a first-team NEFC all-conference selection in both 1993 and 1992, when the Owls posted records of 7-2-1 and 6-3, respectively, and contended for the conference championship. 

Peters also was a key member of Westfield State’s track and field program for three years. During his sophomore year, he captured the Massachusetts State Conference long jump and triple jump championships. He was a member of Westfield’s conference champion 400 and 1600 relay teams in 1994. He earned All New England Division III honors in the 55 meter dash (fourth place) in 1994 and the triple jump (fifth place) in 1992. He was a member of four All New England relay teams. 

Peters resides in Boca Raton, Fla., with his son Devan (9). He works as a development manager/business partner for CorTech LLC of Atlanta, Ga. He is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships and supplying contract and permanent labor to telecom and semi-conductor companies throughout the United States.
