WESTFIELD, Mass. – Several Westfield State student-athletes were recently named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Team for the fall 2018 season.
“We’re very excited,” said Westfield State head coach Todd Ditmar. “The team has accomplished a lot, I think we have gotten better each week, and we’ve worked hard to get to this point. Getting to the NCAA Tournament is a goal for us this year, and it’s nice to accomplish something that you have set out to do.”
Westfield State senior Nicole Chretien (North Attleboro, Mass.) and freshman Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.) were named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week and Rookie of the week, for their role in leading the Owls the league title this past weekend.
Freshman forward Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.), junior midfielder Bella Eduardo (Chicopee/Springfield, Mass.) and senior defender Casey Rotti (Wachussett/Rutland, Mass.) were named to the first team, while senior goalkeeper Natalia Falcone (Sutton, Mass.) was named to the second team.
