WESTFIELD, Mass.  – Westfield State University freshman Jenn Rennich (Bedford HS/Bedford, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer rookie of the week for the week ending Sept. 23, 2018, as announced by the conference today.

Rennich record three assists in two games this week, dishing out an assist on the game winner in a 2-0 non-conference win at Keene State midweek, then adding assists on both goals as the Owls topped Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts by a 2-0 count on Saturday.

Rennich is the owls top point getter so far this season with a goal and three assists for five points.

Westfield is 4-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the MASCAC. The Owls will step out of conference play to host Union (N.Y.) College on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Field.
