Westfield State University sophomore Amy O'Sullivan finished 24th in the individual standings to lead the Owls at the 2019 NCAA New England Regional Qualifier at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

O'Sullivan covered the 6,000 meter course on the Bowdoin campus in a time of 22:13.  Her finish placing has her on the bubble to qualify for the national championships.  The NCAA committee takes the top teams and the top seven finishers to the national meet.  If New England has six teams selected, O'Sullivan will likely slot into the individual qualifiers.  Less than six teams from New England and O'Sullivan would just miss the field for the NCAA National Championship meet.

Owls' freshman Grace Phair also turned in a strong performance with a 41st place finish in 22:37 in the 380 competitor race.

Westfield State senior Andrea Noland placed 122nd in her final cross country meet.

Williams College claimed the team title with 64 points, followed by MIT (84) and Tufts (156).  Wetsfield was 18th in the team scoring with 518 points.  A total of 54 teams scored at the meet.  MIT's Izzy Gengaro won the race in 21:19.
