O'Sullivan Leads Owls at NCAA Regional Meet

WESTFIELD, Mass.  -   Freshman Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) finished in 87th place to lead the way for the Westfield State women at the 2018 NCAA New England Regional cross country championships held at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday. 

O'Sullivan covered the 6,000 meter course in 23:44 to lead the efforts of the Owls.  Junior Andrea Noland (Silver Lake/Kingston, Mass.) was 100th across the line in 23:55, followed by senior Kerry O'Neil (Stoughton, Mass.) in 131st in 24:21.

Westfield State finished 23rd as a team with 737 points. MIT won the team title with 87 points, followed by Middlebury (108) and Williams (115).  The Owls were fourth among public colleges which competed in the 57 team, 399-runner meet.

The meet ends the Owls 2018 season.
