WESTFIELD, Mass.  – Westfield State University freshman Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's rookie of the week this past Monday for the week ending October 8.

 O'Sullivan placed tenth individually with a 5k time of 19:00.68 as Westfield State took sixth place at the James Early Invitational.

 The Owls women's cross country team will travel to Gettysburg, PA for the Gettysburg Invitational this Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
